At Camp Walden we currently work with different varieties of oranges and mandarins. Every year, we may change a variety depending on your demand or depending on how the orange variety adapts to the soil.

This season we have the following varieties available:
It is a new spontaneous mutation of Oronules clementine. The size of this fruit is larger than the other early mutations of the variety oronules and very similar to this one. It has a rounded, flattened shape, a very attractive reddish orange rind, a soft consistency and is easily peeled.
The sugar and acid content is fairly balanced, which gives it a very pleasant flavour.
mid-September and early October
This is a fine clementine mutation originated in Nules (Castellón). The fruit is medium-sized. Thin skin. Slightly flattened shape. Very good quality flesh. Seedless. Very early variety, harvested approximately fifteen days before Oroval, depending on the area.
Harvesting period: October.
October
Oroval mutation. The fruits are very similar to those of the Oroval variety from which they are a mutation.
The fruit picking time of this variety is very early, approximately fifteen days earlier than Oroval, depending on the area.
October and beginning of November
This variety is a mutation of the fine clementine, originated in Nules (Castellón). They are large fruits with a slightly flattened shape. Intense orange rind. Very good quality juicy flesh. Easy to peel. Seedless. Harvesting in the first season.
November and December
This variety was discovered in Australia. It is a mutation of the Washington orange. The size of the fruit is excellent, with a round or slightly ovoid shape, fine texture and good colouring. The fruit colour is less affected by summer greening than the other late Navel varieties.
Chislett Summer Navel is currently considered the best late Navel selection in Australia, both in terms of fruit size, physical characteristics (skin texture and firmness) and organoleptic characteristics (juice, sugar and acid content).
Regarding harvesting, Chislett Summer Navel is the variety with the longest harvesting period, from the end of winter to the summer months. In addition, they most chosen variety for fresh consumption all over the world.
